All types of clothing have its own rules to follow. Once you broke any of the basic rules, you will end up feeling uncomfortable and looking untidy with your attire. On the other hand, you properly follow rules and well understood it, you will be looking pretty in your outfit to the best that you can.

Men’s formal clothing can be used in a party having a formal motif. It is also used when you will go to the office with your business executive attire. Whatever formal clothing you wear for any particular events, make sure to follow the fundamental rules in the line of fashion. If you will compare formal clothing to the casual ones, casual wear is more flexible as for formal wear that is more formalistic.

Most of us accessorize or even customize our formal attire like tuxedos or suits but before doing such, know first the methods and basic guidelines of men’s fashion with regard to formal wear. To have an idea, following are the basic rules to follow in men’s formal clothing.

Rule 1:
Safest color for a formal shirt and the top rank choice for any occasion or event is the color white. It is best combine with black tie that is best to wear for any occasion like in job interview. Nonetheless, white also considered as the boring color for shirt especially when you are in a more relaxed setting. To stay away from looking dull with your suit, you can try muted colored shirt or some shirts that have patterns. See-through or transparent shirts are not recommended or not applicable rather in any formal events.

Rule 2:
Choose a shirt that absolutely suited you. It is your liberty to choose any size of shirt you want as long as it is well fitted in the built of your body. After all, the sense of feeling comfortable comes first.

Rule 3:
All shirt buttons should be fastened.

Rule 4:
Aside from the fitted shirt you wear, pants should also be fitted. It is better to buy longer pants as they can be altered. You can let it hem to the choice that you want. Make sure also that the waistline is checked, it should be fitted. Wearing large pants are looked baggy.

Rule 5:
In choosing accessories it should be matched to the color of your wear.
